Composition & Arranging
As an arranger/composer, David serves as Staff Arranger for the Hot House West Swing Orchestra and is commissioned to write for performing groups throughout the world.
David writes original compositions and arrangements for jazz orchestras, small ensembles, vocalists, and collaborative concert projects. As Staff Arranger of the Hot House West Swing Orchestra, he connects the language of swing with contemporary performance.
Selected collaborators
His music has been performed by Rhythm Future, the Mouri Yoshiki Orchestra in Japan, the University of Osnabrück Big Band in Germany, and artists presented by the Pacific Vocal Series and Moab Music Festival.
His ensemble writing includes performances by the University of Northern Colorado Lab I, Utah Valley University Jazz Orchestra, Weber State University Jazz Orchestra, and James Madison University Jazz Ensemble.
